National Surgical is pleased to announce that the Synergy Disc, cervical arthroplasty device, will be available across Australia and New Zealand with reimbursement for the private sector, as of September 14th 2018.
Currently, Synergy Disc is the only cervical disc arthroplasty device to enable correction of a deformity and maintenance of correction post-surgery. This is achieved by allowing the surgeon to choose between a 0 degree or 6 degree device during surgery.
It is the only artificial cervical vertebral disc designed with a center of rotation in flexion and extension, to restore the physiological motion and correct sagittal balance. Its 6 degrees of preferred lordotic orientation differentiates the disc from its counterparts in the industry. This preferred orientation was designed specifically to correct preoperative deformities and maintain cervical lordosis.
Since partnering with National Surgical in December 2015, more than 100 Synergy Disc cervical replacements have been implanted successfully. National Surgical plans to continue a strong and successful relationship with Synergy Disc, its users and the possibilities for spinal surgery.
If you would like more information on the Synergy Disc implant, or details on the new reimbursement plan, please contact National Surgical.
