Kerry Lawford

Kerry Lawford is a shareholder and the Managing Director of LMT Surgical, since the company was founded in July 2000. Since conception, Kerry has been involved in the growth and distribution of the products, throughout Australia, New Zealand, Singapore and Malaysia. She had experience in nursing, hospital management and as a medical sales representative, prior to becoming the Managing Director of LMT Surgical.

Through LMT Surgical, Kerry has been able to facilitate the provision of niche medical products with the highest level of customer service. Supporting the orthopaedic community for 8 years now, LMT Surgical has provided new, and often innovative, medical technology.

Prior to her role as Managing Director of LMT Surgical, Kerry had many years of experience in Intensive Care and Operating Theatre nursing, Operating Theatre Manager roles, as well as Assistant Director of Nursing. During this time, Kerry achieved a Bachelor of Nursing, obtained studying externally through Flinders University in South Australia.

In 2007, Kerry was successful in graduating from the Australian Institute of Company Director's Diploma course and LMT Surgical has been an active member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, since 2006. Other member affiliations are with the Australian Institute of Management. Through these organisations, Kerry has been able to stay up to date with the ever changing business environment.

Jon Mills

Jon Mills is a co-founder and director of LMT Surgical; having served on the board since its inception. Jon has jointly been responsible for the expansion and reputation LMT has achieved. Jon has been involved in the medical device industry since 1995 and prior to that in the fields of nursing and music; the latter giving him much experience in import and distribution of products throughout Asia Pacific.

Since 1997 Jon has been Managing Director of National Surgical, a company focused in the areas of Spine, Neurosurgery, Orthopaedic and Ear, Nose and Throat Surgery; during this time he has overseen the growth of National Surgical to its current envied position of respect within the Australian medical device industry. National Surgical maintains a focus on excellence in supply and customer service in the state of Queensland, Australia.

Jon currently serves on the "Faculty Advisory Board" for the School of Built Environment and Engineering (encompassing Bio-medical engineering) for Queensland University of Technology as well as being a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and the Australian Institute of Management.
